What is in the liners and freezer paper range?
Five papers. Butcher's freezer paper is a coated white roll for wrapping meat and fish for the freezer, and printed freezer paper is the same roll with your name on the paper face.
Loaf tin liners are pleated greaseproof cups for 1 lb and 2 lb tins, and printed loaf tin liners carry the bakery name on the outer wall. Tray and air fryer liners are formed greaseproof trays for gastronorm pans, baking trays and air fryer baskets.
The freezer papers go cold and never hot. The liners go hot and can go cold afterwards. That one split tells you which half of the range you need.
Which paper for which job?
Match the paper to the container and the temperature. The table is the short version of the five product pages.
| Paper | Job | Coating or shape | Heat and cold | Typical pick |
|---|
| Butcher's freezer paper | Wrapping joints, mince, fish and game for the freezer | Polythene film on one face | To −18°C; no heat | 450 mm × 50 m boxed |
|---|
| Printed freezer paper | The same wrap with the shop name on the outside | Film inside, print on the paper face | To −18°C; no heat | 450 mm × 50 m boxed |
|---|
| Loaf tin liners | Lining 1 lb and 2 lb loaf tins | Pleated greaseproof cup | To about 200°C; freezer after baking | 2 lb, 230 × 130 mm |
|---|
| Printed loaf tin liners | Baking and selling the loaf in a branded liner | Pleated cup, print on the outer wall | To about 200°C; freezer after baking | 1 lb and 2 lb |
|---|
| Tray and air fryer liners | Lining gastronorm pans, baking trays and air fryer baskets | Formed tray, crimped rim or pleated corners | To about 200°C | 200 mm square or half gastronorm |
|---|
Every size above is a typical pick, not a limit. The size chart for sheets, rolls and liners lists the full set and shows how to measure a tin, a pan or a basket.
How freezer paper differs from the liners
Freezer paper is not greaseproof in the oven sense. It is a plain white paper with a thin polythene film on one face, and that film is what keeps air and frost away from the meat. The film softens with heat, so it stays in the chiller and the freezer.
The liners are greaseproof paper, pressed into a shape. They have no film. Grease stays on the surface because of how the paper is made, and they are happy in an oven to about 200°C.
A butcher who also bakes pies, or a farm shop with a meat counter and a cake counter, is the business that buys both halves of the range. The freezer paper for the meat counter page covers the fold, the roll widths and the write-on face.
Which loaf tin liner size do I need?
Liners are named after the tin they fit, not the paper. Measure the inside of the tin across the base and pick the nearest.
- Mini, 145 × 75 mm base: individual tea loaves and gift cakes.
- 1 lb, 170 × 95 mm base: lemon drizzle, banana bread and most café loaves.
- 2 lb, 230 × 130 mm base: fruit loaf, carrot cake, meatloaf and terrines.
- Large, 250 × 140 mm base: deep catering tins and big bakery loaves.
A tin between two sizes takes the smaller liner, because the pleats open to fill the gap. Plain cups and the printed version share the same four forms, so a bakery can start plain and add printed liners with the bakery name later without changing size.
How do tray liners cope with hot fat and hot air?
A formed tray liner holds roast fat on the paper, so the gastronorm pan underneath stays dry and goes back on the rack unwashed. Sugar glazes set hard on cooling, so lift the bake out warm or let it cool fully.
In an air fryer the liner needs food on it before the machine starts. An empty liner lifts in the fan and can touch the element; a loaded one sits still and the air passes over the top.
Squares with a crimped rim suit baskets. Rectangles with pleated corners suit gastronorm pans and baking trays. The tray and air fryer liner sizes page matches each to the pan.
Printing on liners and freezer paper
Freezer paper prints on the bare paper face as a step-and-repeat, so every torn length shows whole logos. Loaf and tray liners print on the flat outer wall as a single logo, because the wall is a fixed panel.
One colour is the right answer on kraft liners, where the brown base dulls pale inks. On white stock and on freezer paper, a Pantone solid-coated match prints true and two colours keep their contrast.
Every printed job gets a free design proof before anything runs, with unlimited edits. Plain liners and plain freezer rolls skip the proof and go straight to dispatch after the quote is accepted.
How do I order from the range?
- Pick the paper, the size and the quantity: 1,000 pieces per liner size, or one roll of freezer paper, is the minimum.
- Send that, plus artwork if you want print, through the quote form; a written quote comes back within one working day.
- Accept the quote. Printed jobs get a free proof; plain stock goes to production.
- Allow 4–6 working days for production after proof approval.
- Delivery is free and tracked to any UK mainland address in 2–3 working days, and payment is by invoice.
Liners and freezer rolls can share one quote and one delivery. Start on the quote form for liners and rolls and list each item on its own line.
